I had a mixed experience with Skill Up on skill-up.org. While some features, like clear course materials and support from individuals like Jacob, were helpful, there are definite downsides. Customer service is often slow, with weeks-long delays in responses. Some courses, like the Bootstrap one, are outdated and not aligned with current standards. Additionally, delays in obtaining certificates can be stressful. Skill Up has potential, but there are areas that need improvement. 3 stars.
i did a survey and was promised $10 gift card from skill op and didnt rec ieve the gift card and got no answer from them after 3 emails so dont trust them.im including screenshot if possible from sender .If not the sender is haleigh boulanger at skill op org
Overall is boring. Cheap, bad quality videos. Repeatedly PowerPoint pictures at wrong section... For example where suppose to be a sticky toffee pudding it's showing scones or Victorian sponge.7 years old vidioes absolutely out of date! Rubbish, shame Very basic and useless
Studying and learning with Skill Up has sincerely been an amazing and valuable experience for me. Each course has been different and unique in it's delivery, specifically tailored to it's purpose, providing me with an immense amount of knowledge and information, be it practical or theory, increasing my skill set and competence, adding to my personal and professional growth, further leaving me wanting to come back to this platform in order to continue my educational journey. Non existent customer service. Only just received a response to a question which I submitted several weeks ago. The bootstrap course needs updating as you can't get bootstrap 3 due to it being superseeded by bootstrap 5. The course should state its bootstrap 3 or be overhauled altogether as there are features that can't be used as 3 is an out of date version. I will not be doing anymore courses with this dreadful company that do not provide timely support.
I just finished the Functional Skills Maths Level 2 course with Skill Up, and it was great. The material was clear and easy to understand, and the instructors were helpful and knowledgeable.
