I went up for a consultation for acne scarring and was advised that micro needling would be the best option for my area of concern. They had advised I go for the pre-payment option as I would need 6 sessions. I paid a lot of money on the day by direct debit.
When I got home and thought about it, I decided it wasn’t for me and a couple of days later tried to cancel and get my money back. I phoned the clinic ‘Edinburgh Haymarket’ and was told it would be at the discretion of the medical director. I do suffer with anxiety and depression, so had put this down, as sometimes I act on impulse and can feel pressured. After quite a few weeks they wrote back to say that I would get none of my money back.
This as you can imagine sent my mental health into further turmoil. I had tried to reason with them and after several e-mails back and forth it was clear I was getting none of my money back.
I felt I had no other option than to go ahead and get the treatments done.
I had 2 on my face and neck, but after the 1st one I knew it wasn’t for me.
I asked the clinic if it would be possible to get a different treatment as the micro needling was too invasive for me, and was told no.
My experience with SKN Edinburgh Haymarket has not been great.
I wanted to share this as I wouldn’t want anyone else to lose out on money and go through what I have.
