I went up for a consultation for acne scarring and was advised that micro needling would be the best option for my area of concern. They had advised I go for the pre-payment option as I would need 6 sessions. I paid a lot of money on the day by direct debit.
When I got home and thought about it, I decided it wasn’t for me and a couple of days later tried to cancel and get my money back. I phoned the clinic ‘Edinburgh Haymarket’ and was told it would be at the discretion of the medical director. I do suffer with anxiety and depression, so had put this down, as sometimes I act on impulse and can feel pressured. After quite a few weeks they wrote back to say that I would get none of my money back.
This as you can imagine sent my mental health into further turmoil. I had tried to reason with them and after several e-mails back and forth it was clear I was getting none of my money back.
I felt I had no other option than to go ahead and get the treatments done.
I had 2 on my face and neck, but after the 1st one I knew it wasn’t for me.
I asked the clinic if it would be possible to get a different treatment as the micro needling was too invasive for me, and was told no.
My experience with SKN Edinburgh Haymarket has not been great.
I wanted to share this as I wouldn’t want anyone else to lose out on money and go through what I have.

I would not recommend SK:N Clinic based on my recent experience.
I booked an initial consultation for laser hair removal and was required to pay a £50 non-refundable deposit, which I was told would be deducted from my treatment package.
However, the clinic I was booked into appeared to be closed. Before attending, Google showed the clinic as “temporarily closed,” but when I queried this on the phone, I was assured it was open and was booked in regardless.
On 2 December 2025, I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment to find the doors locked, no staff present, and the clinic looking completely empty. I waited, rang the doorbell, knocked, and gave it additional time, no one arrived. I have photo/video evidence of this.
I called the main number (which appears to route to head office) and was told it was strange because their system showed the clinic as temporarily closed, yet they were still able to book appointments there. I was asked to wait and call back.
When I called back, another staff member was extremely rude and passive-aggressive. I was placed on hold but could hear her speaking negatively about me to a colleague and falsely claiming I was shouting, which I was not. This was highly unprofessional. Another colleague later apologised and said they would investigate and call me back.
It is now February 2026 and I have received no follow-up, no explanation, and no refund of my £50 deposit.
The lack of communication, the ability to book appointments at a closed clinic, and the unprofessional behaviour from staff is concerning. I will be raising a claim with my bank to recover my deposit.
Very disappointing experience.

Ive had an amazing experience and the lazer has worked so well! Im already seeing a massive difference with the hair growth being slowed down. Would highly recommend and I would highly recommend Ashlene as she is so friendly and helpful.
Had an amazing hydro facial from Lindzi in Exeter’s clinic! She was very informative, and did treatment for myself and my mum! We had the best time, throughly recommend!

I had my first microneedling treatment with Nichole this morning. She was very friendly and went through the procedure in detail. She took her time to go through the details and my after skin-care which was very good. I am definately coming back for the rest of my treatments.

My friend was highly recommended this skin clinic in Brentwood.I visited and started my laser treatment my therapist name was Safa she was professional in her work. She’s also very polite young lady . The place is easy to find and also the environment is very clean .
The people made me feel at ease straight away, they’re warm and welcoming and happy to help. I went in for laser hair removal and after my tester session I felt a bit nervous but my results spoke for themselves! My clinician Kylie from the Milton Keynes branch helped me to relax in my following session, she explained the process and does a fantastic job of keeping me comfy all along. After just two sessions my hair growth has changed dramatically and I’m looking forward to seeing where it is after a few more.
The variety of appointment times was impressive, and I was seen promptly by the doctor. However, it's essential to confirm the credentials of the 'specialist dermatologist' I consulted, as they were registered only as a general practitioner, which meant my insurance did not cover the visit.
I felt compelled to share a wonderful review for the representative I visited. Each appointment has been remarkable! My anxiety levels are high, but from the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, at ease, and cared for. The gentle and kind demeanor of the representative truly creates a positive environment. Both of my treatments have gone smoothly, and I credit this to the kindness displayed. I am genuinely thankful for this experience!
