After calling the local Skoda dealership and explaining the problem to the switchboard I was told that they would arrange for someone from servicing to call me back. I waited a week and still no call so I called them back and asked directly for parts. I spoke to the parts manager who sent me an email with a diagram of the fuel system. It bore no resemlance to my car. I did say that the only part that looked remotely like what I needed was the smallest piece of the diagram. I was told it came as a kit at a cost of £214.20, I asked how much it would cost if they fitted it. that was about a week ago I'm still waiting. Having checked out BRISkoda it seems that this is a very common fault with the Fabia 1.4 diesel, a forum user suggested buying a 7mm ID fuel hose from Halfords @ less than £3and using jubilee clips to secure it. I've since sent the parts manager my VIN and a photo of the failed part. No response yet. I called the main contact number 0333 and was asked to hold, after 5 mins @35p per minute I gave up.Appauling, how do they stay in business.
