After 11 years and 4 Skoda Octavias I hit my first issue with Skoda. My 4 year old Octavia, bought new, lightly used, carefully serviced at the main dealer and hitherto trouble free was identified as having worn fron lower suspension bushes. My concern is that after less than 13000 miles, the tyres are barely worn yet the suspension has already orn to the point that repair is needed. The fact that the suspension hasn't even lasted as long as the tyres seems to me a failure of component quality. Sadly, the staff at the Skoda call centre were amongst the worst customer service staff I've ever encountered and were totally disinterested and unhelpful. The only reason I still had the Octavia Estate was that my wife and I were struggling to decide between another Octavia, a Karoq or an Elroq. Fortunately, the Skoda customer service decided the issue - forget Skoda and try something else. Our replacement is arriving in March, another Member of the Kia family to accompany our Picanto runabout. Skoda's loss is Kia's gain.
