Taking money after ended contract period

Me and my boyfriend quit Sky last September, and the contract was running until end January. We sent the receiver and controls back in December, preparing that the contract would run out in January. We have received out quitting letter, and sad that you leave us letter. But, the money keeps getting withdrawn from our bank account. Calling is not helping, so we send an email and the guy on the other end said sorry and that he would send us back the 153 euros they had booked from our bank card from beginning February until March. Today we checked out bank account to see if they gave us our money back, just to realize that sky took another 79 euros from our account, and no money is sent back. How is this possible? This is not the first company to act like this in Germany, and I am starting to question myself if we need to fight for a good 6 month with every company every time we quit a contract (and after legally being out of the contract) in order for them to quit just take money from our account, without a running contract. We don't live in Germany anymore, and it's very frustrating that big amounts like 80 euros all of a sudden is booked from our card for a service we quit using 4 months ago, and legally have emails and physical letters confirming that we quit. Since we received our good bye letter and contract has ran out since end January, we have paid 230 euros. For nothing. For TV in a country we don't live in. Can someone please explain to me what is going on, and how can this be legal?
