SKYAIRLINE-110-319089My flight H2 5006 from Cusco to Lima on the 9th of January 2024 got canceled after waiting 8 hours at the airport. The communication was horrible, well actually there was no official communication from Sky. The information always came indirectly from other confused passengers.I had to book a flight with LATAM which I paid USD 253.42 and I requested to be reimbursed for this price and not only what I paid for the ticket with SKY since I was only offered to be booked on the 9th of January at 12:00 with another flight from SKY which was unacceptable since I lost already half a working day due to waiting all day at the airport and I couldn't afford to lose another working day. Some people actually have jobs and work.I was given a voucher for lunch which to be honest was a bad joke and since there was only one restaurant at the entire airport there were no other options in sight so I had to get an overpriced dinner as well, which was even less food than the lunch I received.They refunded the total ticket price of 131,8 USD and gave me a voucher for 28 USD which obviously doesn't cover my extra costs of 121,62 USD I had with booking a last-minute ticket with LATAM.This was my first and last experience with SKY. I will make sure to avoid this airline. I actually only booked a flight since the timing was perfect but would have gladly paid 20 USD more to fly with LATAM instead if they had a flight at the same time.
