Worst flying experience ever

On 21 February 2026, flying from Athens to Prague, I had an unpleasant experience at the gate. The gate agent noticed that my cabin trolley looked slightly inflated. I explained that the extension zipper was broken and that there was only air under the lid. I even pressed it down to demonstrate this.They brought the metal cabin-size sizer and insisted that I place the trolley inside. It fit. However, the agent argued that I had to push it and that it did not “slide” in easily. I explained that the suitcase is actually smaller than the dimensions stated on their website (55 x 40 x 23 cm). Despite this, I was asked to open it and move my Chromebook into my handbag. After rearranging everything, she had me to place it in the sizer again. Only then was I allowed to board.The situation felt excessive and unnecessary. It is very frustrating to be put in that position in front of other passengers who are watching and waiting to see what will happen.On 28 February, flying back from Prague to Athens, the same issue occurred. I again explained about the broken zipper. The response was simply: “Show us.” This time I only had to demonstrate it once. However, another passenger was not as fortunate; his trolley wheels could not slide properly into the sizer. I also pointed out that the measuring device did not appear to match the dimensions published on their website, but the staff showed no interest in discussing it.Considering the high ticket prices and the rather basic service provided, one would expect not to face such rigid treatment over 2–3 cm. It creates the impression that staff are looking for reasons to charge passengers additional fees.As for the aircraft itself, the seats are extremely small. Anyone over approximately 50–60 kg will feel very cramped. You are squeezed between two other passengers, with no proper space for arms or legs. Since handbags must be placed under the seat in front, there is almost no legroom. On the return flight, we were not allowed to place our jackets in the overhead compartment and had to keep them on our laps for nearly three hours, which made an already uncomfortable situation worse.Overall, the experience was disappointing—from the staff attitude to the level of comfort onboard. It was my first time flying with this airline, and it will be my last.
