This was one to tick off the bucket list. Your staff are friendly and competent. However, I was expecting a premium experience. And this wasn’t premium. Somewhat battered cabin, shower not working properly, table top missing, slightly dilapidated appearance. The food was okay. The lounge experience certainly wasn’t comparable to an airport lounge. I was enthralled by the idea of sleeping on a night train and enjoyed looking out as we pulled out of Euston, and again as we went through the spectacular highlands. However, the experience (not cheap) was a little underwhelming overall.
