Setting up with Smith Thompson was a surprisingly pleasant experience. It look less than 24 hours from calling the company to having them come over and finish setting up. The technician that came to setup was kind enough to explain and demonstrate how everything worked. There were some problems with alignment of the sensors when the house was built, and the technician quickly fixed them. Response time is prompt, in my experience. I have forgotten to turn off the alarm a few times before opening doors, and I have received calls in less than 30 seconds.
