Extremely Disappointed with the Quality of Care

I signed up for an annual plan with the service, but I was deeply disappointed with the quality of care from the veterinarians. The receptionist was also quite rude. I have a lot to say about this almost year-long experience. It began with a medical error when I first started my policy. I took my dog to the vet due to abdominal pain, and while they were quick to schedule an urgent appointment, I later found that the vets often avoid necessary investigations despite them being included in the policy. They seem more focused on minimizing costs than providing thorough care, which I understand to some extent, but it requires experienced clinicians, which the service lacks. The vets are usually recent graduates without much experience, leading to a different vet each time. After my dog's initial consultation, her condition worsened, and we had to take her to an emergency clinic. Shockingly, the vet from the service called later to inform me that she had administered ten times the correct dose of morphine. As a medical professional, I know the risks associated with such a mistake, and I was frustrated that they didn't contact me sooner. We decided to give them another chance, but I was disheartened to see a lack of double-checking protocols in place. The vet administered drugs without any second verification, which is standard in hospitals. We ended up paying a hefty bill due to their error. Later, when I returned for my dog’s limping, it was hard to get an appointment. After some complaints, they managed to fit us in, but the young vet seemed unsure about the diagnosis. I had to push for further testing, and the receptionist was unhelpful when I inquired about booking an X-ray. Ultimately, I decided to seek help from another vet, who provided a proper examination and diagnosed arthritis. Given these experiences, I’m uncertain if I would trust them again for any clinical needs. Even for routine treatments included in my plan, they failed to follow through as promised. In summary, while the concept behind the service is promising, it unfortunately does not deliver. Cost constraints seem to lead to a lack of attention to care, and I won't be renewing my policy next year.
