I tried to give this system a fair chance, but I 100% regret my purchase of the ECO10 system. We have had our system for 5 years and it has never worked as advertised. We’ve had battery failures in year 1 and more often than not every time they do a system update, it causes the system to malfunction. Every firmware update causes our generator settings to be changed without our knowledge and we don’t find out it doesn’t work until we have a power outage. Service is difficult to get a hold of and when you have an open ticket communication on the status is terrible. My system currently won’t draw down to back-up buffer and uses grid power all night. It says I have battery on the apps , but the main unit says the battery is at 0 and the system shuts down when we have a power outage. We live in one of the most expensive electric utility areas with frequent power outages and my system is buying power when I have battery and sending power to grid without charging batteries fully. The response I get from Sonnen Service is they are monitoring and according to their data everything is functioning. Well if they would get from behind their keyboards and actually have technicians come out, they would see that the system is not functioning as it should. I insisted on a replacement and am being ignored. Worst purchase mistake of my life and an expensive lesson.
