My return flight was cancelled by the airline, with no alternative flight within the next 24hrs. So booked my own flight home as I couldn't wait. Apparently my policy didn't cover the airline cancelling my flight, but would have covered it if I had missed it. Seems like a very basic thing that should be covered. So if you do purchase travel insurance through Southdowns, read the small print!
