I have gone through yet another frustrating complaints procedure due to the incompetence of the staff involved. One representative even claimed in writing that my tenancy started in 2022, which is incorrect. That was when an anti-social tenant moved in above me. Additionally, he stated he has no record sheets, which is false. I have previously sent emails and hard copies through recorded and special delivery. Why can’t he take the time to find and review them? This ongoing issue dates back to when I first reported chronic rising damp in my ground floor flat shortly after moving in, back in April 1997. It’s rising damp, not condensation damp as has been incorrectly stated for nearly thirty years. My health has suffered due to this, with issues like arthritis and asthma, and damp mold has affected all my belongings. For the record, my dehumidifier extracts FIFTEEN LITRES OF WATER EVERY TWO DAYS from just one room, with humidity readings above 50. This is clearly not condensation damp. For nearly thirty unbearable years, I have been blamed for this. The organization has acted like a criminal enterprise. If they had been held accountable even once during my tenancy, I likely wouldn’t be in this situation today. And let’s not forget the ongoing rat infestation.
