Positive Observations:- The appointment turnaround was impressively quick.- The assessment itself was excellent—efficient and professionally conducted.Areas of Concern:- The interpreter assigned did not speak the appropriate dialect, which made communication extremely difficult for my mother, who is deaf in one ear and has dementia. This oversight significantly impacted her ability to understand and engage during the appointment.- The attending nurse was unreasonably aggressive in insisting that no one could sit with my mother while she waited to be seen. Despite explaining her dementia and anxiety, no accommodations were made to support her emotional wellbeing.- There was a noticeable lack of compassion and patient-centred care from the nurse, who was both inconsiderate and rude. The clinic was running behind schedule, and my 86-year-old mother was left sitting alone for an extended period with a stranger she did not know—an experience that was distressing and inappropriate given her condition. After waiting for almost 2 hour , I had to go speak to front desk, and again explain why I was so concern. She then arranged for me to go and sit with her while she waited to be called in for surgery.
