A registrar did my operation and dropped the lense into my eye and couldn’t find it!! After a few minutes the consultant took over and eventually located the lense and finished the procedure. I returned to Spamedica before I got home as my eye felt very painful. The pressure in my eye was high and they gave me a tablet to take it down and told me to take some paracetamol. My eye was so uncomfortable and painful I couldn’t open it so went to bed and slept for a few hours. My eye was still swollen for a few weeks afterwards and I had regular checks and extra eye drops for a further 3 weeks after the initial drops had been taken. It was a lot better when discharged. The aftercare was excellent.
