I have now completed the process of having my cataracts removed and new lenses fitted in the Newark branch.I could not fault them, I started my journey late June and I was warned I could be waiting a year for them to be done on the NHS However I had my pre assessment within 4 weeks my operation a week later it was all done so quickly. Both eyes done post operation assessments and discharged today, I’m a pathetic coward so I was a nervous wreck. I struggled to let them even put eyedrops in my eyes I was that scared. But I luckily saw a lovely nurse called Rachel, she kept me calm explained what would happen and literally gave me the confidence I could go through with it. I had not realised how bad my eyesight was and it quickly deteriorated as I had an aggressive form of cataract. I would have and actually considered life with poor eyesight I was so petrified. Thanks to Rachel I now have brilliant eyesight and I will see my young grandchildren grow and flourish. Every member of staff I came across was really nice and the surgeons did a fantastic job alongside the nurses. I can not recommend Spamedica Newark branch enough they literally gave me back my sight and I will be eternally grateful
