This service is truly remarkable! Their communication is excellent, and my coach is fantastic. Having someone to practice speaking with in a supportive environment has been incredibly beneficial. While grammar is still important, my coach is always open to discussing any topic. I work in a field with specialized terminology, and she has been a great help. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
This week, I had a full-blown conversation in an Uber with a native Spanish speaker, and for the first time I just went for it. Was it a bit rocky? Sure, but I did it! I even cracked a joke in Spanish that made my driver laugh. There’s no better feeling! That moment was possible because of my incredible coach, Alberto. I’ve been working with him for about 2 ½ months, and I can’t thank him enough.For sixteen years, I’ve been surrounded by Spanish (my husband’s first language is Spanish), but I simply could not and would not speak. I could understand some, but never form my own words, let alone conjugations or sentence articles. Alberto has helped me build a solid foundation. He’s incredibly patient, but also a genuinely fun and kind person who makes our 3x/week lessons something I look forward to.I still have a long way to go, but in just two months I can already have basic conversations and I’m understanding more of what’s said around me at family gatherings. I’ve tried and abandoned countless methods over the years, and Spanish55 is the one that finally clicked.To get here, I’ve been doing lessons three times per week, practicing with my husband, using flashcards, and occasionally dipping into Spanish apps, so about 5–10 hours per week of learning and practice. The progress has been amazing.Spanish55 is absolutely incredible, and Coach Alberto is the best. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be in the next 6 months.... And in a year!
I left a Spanish55 review a few months ago, but I wanted to leave another one about a year after I started working with my coach, Oscar. I have never had a teacher who is so easy to talk to. I am learning Spanish while making a friend, so it's fun, rather than work! He meets you where you are, whether that be with learning grammar or learning to listen and speak better. I highly recommend Oscar to anyone wanting to improve their Spanish.
My experience with coach Atenea has been wonderful. I wanted to improve my spoken Spanish skills and improve my ability to discuss complex ideas. Since I love literature, she helped me read and analyze and write about short stories. Working with her has been more effective than any college class I took!
My middle school daughter has had weekly one-on-one sessions with a Spanish55 coach for the past 11 months. Her coaches are friendly, knowledgeable, and adept at tailoring lessons to my daughter’s skill level. The support staff is also responsive and helpful. My daughter has advanced her comprehension and speaking skills significantly beyond her regular middle school Spanish class while working with Spanish55. She recently achieved high-intermediate scores on her AAPPL language test.
My instructor is very passionate and supportive regarding my learning another language. She works hard to challenge me as well as insure the I’m learning properly. I look forward to me lessons from a leaners standpoint as well as an opportunity to get to socialize with my instructor.
I am a non-traditional student. I work fulltime, languages have always been one of my weakest subjects, but I want to overcome this for myself. I am extremely impressed at how my coach always picks up where we left off, and adjusts perfectly to any slight detours if I have a question or giant blank spot that suddenly opens up in my memory. I like that we use the worksheets as supplemental materials. This makes our lessons flow much more organically and links learning to real life.My progress may be slow, but Spanish55 has been more effective than any other method I have tried over the past 10 years! It is very challenging, even at my pace, and it works for my life.Thank you!
