I have a yearly contract with Speakout7Eleven and only periodically check my account. I recently logged in to check my account only to see a red notice that the balance in my account was zero. The message also stated that I need to contact them in order to get a new SIM card. WT*! I had no prior warning of this. I immediately contacted them via email regarding my balance but have not heard back so far. From my research on Reddit, it appears that 7Eleven is forcing their customers into a monthly plan. If this is what is happening without proper notice to their customers ahead of time, then 7Eleven has acted in an unethical and downright sneaky way. If no meaningful response is received within the next day or so, I will be make a formal complaint with the CRTC.
