My appointment was at 10:15 at the Hillsborough branch in Sheffield. I arrived at 10. I was seen promptly at 10:15 for an initial check before seeing the optometrist. At 10:20 I was escorted upstairs and asked to take a seat and told that I would be seen shortly. Well, shortly became 30 minutes and at 10:50 the optometrist called me in. She was very professional and really put me at ease and being on the autistic spectrum I really needed that. At 10:57 she gave me a card with my prescription and told me that someone would help me to choose my new glasses downstairs. I waited for 15 minutes for someone to come and help me but they never did. It was not very busy and there were lots of staff about so there really was no excuse for leaving me waiting. So, I just left. Incidentally, the previous time I was there for glasses I had a similar experience, so I guess they don't like helping customers.
