Review Time
Well, this visit I had a couple of weeks ago could be the last Specsavers because once again they have messed my glasses up my left lens. I could not see through very well it was leery however Specsavers did take them back but they left me with no glasses at all, what they were supposed to do is actually give me the glasses back but I took in until they changed the lens and then swap the pair over from the pair of already got unfortunately staff in Saint Austell store I haven’t got a clue what they’re doing by the the look of it, they haven’t got a clue what they’re up to and what they’re doing would I recommend them Needless to say no. it’s taken just under two weeks now and I say just under it because it’s one day away. from being two weeks all I get is your glasses will be on very soon and we will contact you absolutely disgusting. They should’ve been put through as a priority Consider considering I need them.
Tried to charge me £480 !! Im new to glasses, only a weak prescription needed just for reading , tried to sell me verifocal glasses and bombarded me all the time pushing me to purchase. This is a back up review as posted about this before , contacted specsavers via twitter (which were helpful) they contacted the store, they contacted me eventually and just fobbed me off , absolutely disgusting.
Totally awesome place to get your eyes checked and has some great deals on your glasses at a amazing price and the team are wonderful and always happy to help you with anything about my your glasses or contact lenses
Had my eyes tested at castleford branch after picking frames the assistant said I could have free prescription sunglasses so I said yes please but when I picked them up and got home the reading glasses was both clear and my driving ones was in a frame that I wouldn't have worn so I went back too the shop and the assistant said I must have ordered them both clear I said why would i order 2 clear ones then she said I could have the clear ones done but said it would cost me £30 when I said they supposed to be free she said not the ones I had she gave me the glasses back and I walked out of the shop NEVER TO RETURN
My wife and me Bought glasses sept nearly £300 glasses this week lenses fell apart and one lost customer service at Heaton Park manchester in Sainsbury's accused my wife of breaking them and won't repair them
The glasses are faulty and even in November the nose piece fell of 1 month after buying them and had to get them repaired then .
The company are just like a bad car sales people who just want your money and don't care as soon as it goes in the till I will be spreading my experiences over a lot of platforms of the real truth about the real specs savers they have lost 20 customers in 5mins from my friends and family.

Went for eye test and got the two for one offer. I add the screen anti glare future for an extra £35, after a few days the frame was sliding off went there and all they did was manually bend the legs which then started to be too tight and uncomfortable to wear also the prescription doesn't seem right. I can see better with my glasses from Boots that are three years old than with the new ones from specsavers. I tried to sort the frame myself and it went completely wrong so I went back to see if I could purchase a new frame to transferred the lenses. The assistant at the watfird store no helpful at all straight away said we can’t do that and that I needed to buy new lenses as well. I went to boots and explained what I needed straight away the assistant very professional found me a new frame, fitted the lenses for me and even cleaned them up. Will never returned to specsavers, Boots opticians is the place to be.
I went to Lancaster Saturday 21/02 / 26 where I was served by Rachel , she was extremely helpful , she made me feel like a valued customer, and due to an error by my local optician on my prescription , she told me she was going to phone me the following Monday first thing , ( I was sceptical 🤨) I was in a rush to get my glasses before my upcoming holiday , she was very true to her word ! Monday morning came so did my phone call, ( after her phoning my old opticians ) she ordered my glasses as a priority , and I am going to collect them next Monday !
What a great service , by a truly honest reliable assistant , I will be a returning customer after this service ! Great work Rachel and spec-savers !
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH SERVICE. After complaining to the store (Redditch Sainsburys) owing to pain in my eyes from the glasses and their refusals to refund, my two messages to Head Office have not been replied to. The store passes you onto a mediator after refusing to refund so you then have to do more work signing documents, sending evidence etc. So be aware that 1) they refused to refund despite pain in both eyes (plus intimidating me and being annoyed) and 2) Head Office don't even reply, they seem to just pass it back to the store who already refused to refund your money! So now I have to do further work to try and get a refund! This company has seriously gone downhill in my experience. And please ignore any reply they make to this review saying they want to help, as they just continue to refuse to give me a refund.
I recently visited Specsavers in Kings Heath, Birmingham for my post–cataract surgery check-up, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
A special thank you to Saima, the optician who carried out my check-up with great care and professionalism. I’d also like to give particular thanks to Chantel, who went above and beyond to ensure I received the correct replacement spectacles. She took the time to get every measurement exactly right for my varifocal lenses, and her attention to detail was outstanding.
The service I received was truly above and beyond. Five stars, well deserved.
The staff at the Pontypool branch were very professional and helpful. I had a couple of glasses tha I favourited on their website, which they had in stock and being very honest told me they did not suit me. They sorted me with different designs. Which in fact suited me a lot better. Definitely recommend.
