Specsavers Audiology. I attended my appointment for earwax removal at the St. Stephen's Audiology Branch in Norwich. My experience has been nothing but dreadful. I came out with discomfort and pain in my left ear after having been told it would settle down. It didn't; it felt blocked and uncomfortable for days. I went back to them on two occasions, only to receive the 'fob off' excuse in a very uncaring manner. After 2 weeks of suffering from hearing discomfort, I made a GP appointment, who told me I had impacted earwax blocking my ear canal. I decided to go to another audiologist, this time a proper professional NHS-qualified audiologist, to seek help who confirmed the doctor's diagnosis. She used Microsuction to remove the blocked wax in a skilled and professional procedure. Something Specsavers had failed to do, so £60 was wasted along with the discomfort I suffered.I certainly can not recommend this really bad and uncaring company, and I will never use them or their optical service ever again, so be aware!
