I booked in last week at Specsavers to have a hearing test and as I have a VNS implant (to help manage seizures), with which the audiologist was not familiar, the appointment was abandoned so that she could do further research. As frustrating as this was, it was great to see how much care and effort was being put into a free consultation.I had the appointment today, with a different audiologist who was just as conscientious as the first - all of the information had been passed over and I discovered I have almost 25% hearing loss. The audiologist was knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain things carefully and put me at ease.
