Went to Specsavers in Bromley after too long a period after first visit some 4 years ago. Had an eye test to renew and upgrade my glasses. Brilliant eye test which seemed very thorough. Prescription was slightly different from previous. As I was going away, I was told new glasses would be labelled urgent order, if possible. I went away and came back and after two weeks contacted Specsavers to ask if order was in. Told yes. I asked why they had not contacted me, as they do many times when asking me to attend for a test and spend some money. Anyway, after trying on the glasses which I paid £200 for, the vision was not as good as the original pair I was wearing from four years ago. I was told that this would be remedied,and they would contact me before the close of business that day, which is nearly a week ago now.I am really disappointed with the service and care that I am getting from Specsavers and now it is time when I just want a refund and I’ll have to go somewhere else. I have been told by bromley Specsavers that I will get a refund. I ring very couple of days or so, but rarely get a return call as promised! Manager, Stan Mingle, is always busy and no one else can help. I am going to get on to parent company to see if I can get any help there, and then to citizens advice and trading standards office this week. Such a shame as staff are lovely but service is non existent.
