Easily one of the most frustrating and infuriating online shopping experiences I have had. Never again will I order from Sports Direct! Very briefly ... (i) ordered shoes 21st March, (ii) after one week, shoes were delivered—but wrong make (Endura MT500 Burner Clipless Waterproof Shoe vs Nike Air Max, wrong colour (blue vs white), wrong everything!; (iii) contacted customer services, and then waited for one week to have a self-print return label sent to me via email to facilitate return of the white Nike Air Max shoes; (iv) returned shoes via EVRI for free (since the mistake lay with Sports Direct), and email customer services explicitly requesting that they ship me the correct shoes; they agreed; I did not want a refund via gift voucher; (v) waited another week, before receiving (you guessed it!) a gift voucher ... and despite the fact that the shoes I had originally ordered were in stock; of course, Sports Direct claimed that the shoes I originally ordered were not in stock, hence the gift voucher; (vi) I reached out to customer services the very same day I received my gift voucher, and was told that if I now ordered the original shoes again using the gift vouchers, they could fulfill the order; (viii) I asked why they resorted to giving me a gift voucher when the shoes I wanted were in stock; much hand-waving and excuses/lying from Sports Direct customer services; (ix) I ordered the shoes again within 18 hr of receiving the gift voucher; (x) within 24 hr I received an emailed to say that my order is on its way (so the shoes were out of stock for an 18 hr period that just happened to coincide with the time they processed my gift voucher, and then restock occurred soon after?!?!?); (xi) currently waiting for my shoes to arrive; delivery time is one week. This nightmare has not yet ended—I am fully expecting another wrong delivery from Sports Direct next week! I'll keep you posted.
Start to finish, I placed the original order 21st March and delivery is now expected 20th April.
Finally, I am planning to self-publish a book on Amazon later this year based around my email communications with Sports Direct customer services over the past couple of weeks. It's a comedy horror.
