I had a disappointing experience with Spotahome.
The listing described that I would be living with a 60-year-old woman, which influenced my decision to book. However, after confirming the reservation, I found out that another person (her partner) also lives in the property, which was not clearly disclosed in the listing.
Additionally, the contact details provided were incorrect, making it difficult to reach the landlord. I had to contact Spotahome separately to obtain the correct information.
While the company agreed to cancel the booking and refund the first month’s rent, they refused to refund the service fee, even though the issue arose from incomplete and unclear information in the listing.
Overall, I felt that the platform lacked transparency, and this affected my trust in the booking process.
