Absolutely Useless Protection Plan – Waste of Time and MoneyIf I could give zero stars, I would. I contacted Allstate Protection Plan to submit a claim for my Epson printer, which has been printing with gaps despite all basic troubleshooting. I patiently spent nearly 2 HOURS on the phone with their customer service, following every single pointless step they gave me—even the ones I already told them I had done.In the end, their “expert” told me the problem isn’t with the printer and that I should just use the printer more often to fix the issue. Really? So now I’m supposed to waste expensive ink printing nothing just to make the printer work properly? That’s their solution? Completely unacceptable.They refused to issue a replacement or even provide a store credit—nothing. Just excuses and circular advice that led nowhere. What’s the point of a protection plan if they won’t stand by it when there’s an actual issue?Save yourself the headache and avoid Allstate Protection Plan. This was a complete scam and an utter waste of my time and money. Customer service was dismissive, unhelpful, and ultimately did NOTHING to resolve my issue. I will never buy another product with this so-called “protection.” Buyer beware.
