Like others here, I wish I could give them no stars or negative stars! After using Square's services for a number of years, they decided to open an investigation or review of our business. Yes, we do have a tobacco shop (which many processors will not handle due to it being categorized as high risk) and we can totally understand being dropped as a client BUT FOR GOD'S SAKE, the manner is which they do this is so contrary to any good business practices I know of. I am a CPA and have worked in the finance sector for 40 years. I have never experienced such stonewalling from a company and insincere customer service in my life! The employees are like something out of the Stepford Wives, repeating canned lines over and over again without divulging any useful information. And you can never speak to anyone higher up who, praytell, might actually have some information for you. The worst thing, however, is holding a business's money for unreasonably long periods, claiming that they need to beware of any chargebacks. We have never had a chargeback in 30 years of business! That is a company's working capital and you could really cause problems for them, maybe even putting them out of business. Today is March 10, 2026 and they have been molding our money for about 120 days, well over the 90 days they said they needed to and getting any information has been impossible. They also lie to their customers saying that we will receive an email "by the end of the day or tomorrow morning, at the latest" but no emails have ever come. At one point, we were told that the funds would be coming in the next 48 hours and they never did! I even called my Congressman's office to see what they could do and they advised that we file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and other sites, like I'm doing here. This was just a warm up and the BBB and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are next on my list! As if I don't have better things to do! I have my own much-larger business to run but my husband is elderly and needs my help!
