I paid SRN Home Improvements a deposit of £699 on the 28th October 2025 for new windows in my flat. I decided to cancel my order within the 14 day period and notified the company by email and by sending the paperwork back. Today, the 19th December, I just received my bank statement and discovered that the company had still not refunded my deposit. I have two big bills to pay and I needed the £699 to pay these. I sent an email to the company complaining about their failure to return my deposit but all I got was an automatic response informing me that they were closed for Christmas and New Year. This year has been the worst of my life and now I am having to deal with the stress and worry of having bills to pay that I cannot and the even bigger worry of whether I am ever going to get my £699 deposit returned. It is not right to treat people like this. I have had three quotes for new windows that were less than what SRN quoted so my advice is beware of this company.
