To keep it protected and looking nice, you can simply apply a small amount of black outdoor metal or enamel touch-up paint over the spot. This will seal the area, prevent any corrosion, and restore the finish. We completely understand it’s frustrating to notice a mark on a new product, we send them in perfect conditions but carriers may not be careful.Let us know if you have any questions!Kind regards,AnneCustomer service representativeHere is my final response. I am disappointed in the "warranty ".This was supposed to be a new product. I'm sure if you were buying a new anything, it should be free of blemishes and defect. Weather a shipping issue or otherwise. This will reflect in my reviews.Kevin Bates
