This was the third air fryer we bought the previous two were not Starfrit but they were noisy from fan speed and steel vibrating against itself. The Starfrit we bought is the air fryer convection oven dual fan 12”XL 1700 watt model. I love how much more quieter this air fryer (even with the fans on high) is compared to the other two we bought. After getting it all set up and cleaned I test drove this with some chicken nuggets and fries. I used the fries preset which sets the unit to 450 and 15 min. I had to shut the unit off with 4 min left as my food was starting to burn which is normal when reading the instructions as it says small portions may require less time. Food was really good, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.I also like the glass doors for cooking viewing and the light which has an auto off feature. The only down fall is the exhaust at the back. The exhaust is directed up and where this unit sits we have to pull it out to the front of the counter due to when it site back on the counter the heat discharges under the upper cabinets which heats them up and over time making me concerned about warping. Perhaps a side discharge in future models??To sum up it up I recommend this air fryer from Sarfrit. I only used this once before this review but the quiet feature is really nice.
