I want to share my extremely disappointing experience with Star Health Insurance so others don’t fall into the same trap.
I purchased a health insurance policy in 2024 through their online process. During the onboarding call, I clearly disclosed all my past illnesses and surgeries to their doctor. I made sure everything was transparently communicated. However, despite my repeated requests, none of these details were properly updated in my policy documents.
When I followed up multiple times, I was casually told that these details would be updated during renewal. I clearly informed them that I would not renew the policy unless the corrections were made immediately. Still, they kept delaying, saying they needed “management approval.”
Finally, after all the back and forth, they simply refused to update anything, stating that it should have been done at the time of purchase, which is exactly what I had tried to ensure from day one!
This is completely unacceptable and feels highly unprofessional and misleading. If something goes wrong, customers like us will be the ones suffering due to their negligence.
On top of this, I’ve also heard from multiple friends that their claim settlement experience with this company is very poor.
Please be careful before choosing this Star Health. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend going with a more reliable and trustworthy insurance provider.
