I purchased a SIM card at the airport and specifically requested that it not be activated yet, but it was activated without my knowledge at the time of purchase. When I tried to use it weeks later, I found it had already expired. Customer service informed me that the SIM card was activated upon purchase, despite my request to delay activation.
