I was satisfied with my current insurance provider until I was unexpectedly contacted by another company after an accident. The agent called me without warning, and under duress, I ended up purchasing a policy from them for $539, thinking they were affiliated with my existing provider. After realizing I was now paying for two policies, I sought advice from a family member who suggested I contact my original provider. They clarified that the other company should not have been pushing their services. I then spent an hour on the phone with the new company trying to cancel the policy, but they refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Eventually, they canceled the policy and promised a refund, but no one followed up as promised. My attempts to get in touch with a supervisor were a complete waste of time. To make matters worse, despite having the agent's first name who contacted me, they had no record of who it was. This experience was frustrating and their rates are significantly higher than my current provider. I've had no issues with my original insurance for years, while this new company left me feeling scammed and without any accountability for their agent.
