Have bought 3 lots of 7x Step Ones first around late2019/early 2020 and they were great! All 7 still going well into 2025/26.
However the 2nd lot I bought in 2022 I got some special edition colours, and the fit was not as good, far too tight in most places across all colours. It's like StepOne changed their manufacturing process (or the factory they use, etc).
Still, I decided to buy the 3rd round of x7 in mid 2024.... Well, their quality has dropped massively in the last 5 years.
As some of the special edition colours and the 2024 ones are getting holes in them and ripping along the elastic band.
Out of a total 21x undies, I now have about 10 left without any holes at all, and 2 with small holes starting to appear. The rest have ripped baldy enough that I've thrown them out.
If Floating a company means all the profit to investors has to increase, at the sacrifice of product quality, then screw your company.... I'll go back to buying Bonds for $5/pair and replace them every year....
It's more economical than paying $20+ per pair and they barely last 18months.
(Oh and not that it should matter, but I'm not a huge guy, 180cm 85kg size 34" / Medium pants, and I'm not excessively rough on my clothes.
But after trying the recommended "Medium-size" I had to purchase 'Large' StepOnes for an extra bit of room and comfort for the hanging parts.)
Not that this should matter whether a buyer is 55kg for 155kg.... The undies should be able to withstand what they're are designed for, to be grabbed by a couple of fingers and pulled up your legs into position.
