I ordered a Toyota yards in November 2022, on motability fro Steven Eagell, Gallows Corner, and made the mistake of paying the money to upgrade the spec upfront. It should have been ready by the following March. It wasn't, they kept saying it will be ready next month,when in reality they didn't have a clue and when a car from a different dealer became available for immediate delivery became available in the June(4 months after my Yaris was supposed to have been delivered), I took the chance on that car ,as because of my disabilities it was becoming increasingly difficult to use public transport. When I cancelled my order at Steven Eagell they refused to refund the £742 advance I had paid, calling it a deposit. I contacted Motability, there is no deposit on motability vehicles, and I was entitled to my money back, but they didn't have the power to enforce that . I spoke to several managers at Steven Eagell, but everyone of them was,dismissive and rude. I even contacted Toyota, and encountered the same attitude. Basically they all think it is acceptable to steal customers money. I will never consider Toyota again, as I am entitled to a new car every 3 years that is several sales they have lost , not counting any disabled people I know.
