I purchased a new CHR from Toyota Willesborough Ashford in May 2021. It broke down in Rye on 14/2/2024. The AA technician said that the battery was flat with a suspected charging system fault, and to take it to Toyota for warranty work. I took it to Toyota on 15th next day, they told me it required a new battery but it was not covered by the warranty. If I didn't have a new battery it would most likely break down again. I have been told that the CHR has this problem with batteries and Toyota know about it. if that is the case then why isn't it covered I ask. The car is supposed to have a 5 year warranty. I just wonder what else isn't covered by the so called 5 year warranty. It seems to me that the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on.
