Steven Eagell Peterborough Toyota Yaris cross good car bad service from the garage 10 th September went to try out the car decided on the Yaris at the time the salesman Known as A J , was talking us out of the grey colour model , it was priced up at £27500 ?? I queried that as the price new £26500 he said they could sell a second hand at any price, he then went off to the office and came back told me it was my lucky day as they had got the wrong price it was £25500 !!! Then he had given us the wrong mileage as he told us 300 and it’s was 3000 an easy mistake !! I told him he was having a bad day ?? Any way he then offered us free rear sensors and a tank of petrol and a super guard on our paintwork( Good news ) we decided to go ahead with the purchase and taxed the vehicle and told we could collect the car next Friday 15 th .Friday came and I collected the car a bit worried that the car was a little dirty ? But AJ promised me all the work had been done ? Got home and found the car had not been valeted as promised and concerned that the superguard as promised was not applied .I went back on the Monday 18 th September and the salesman , Harry had a look and confirmed the car was not completed so he apologised and back into the workshop cleaned and superguard applied ( not received any pack ) After a phone call from my son they offered a free service and a apology from AJ !! After 6 + weeks I haven’t received my v 5 as I have purchased a personal plate I needed the v5 , contacted the dvla and they confirmed that they hadn’t received the paperwork from the garage , they told me to make contact with the garage as I did, Friday 27 th October spoke to Kasim the deputy manager !! And he said he would get back to me today , he did contact me SATURDAY 28 th October and confirmed they hadn’t sent off the old v5 and as I had paid for the road fund tax payment went to the old owner as I am not the registration new owner !! He promised he would pay the new tax and sending the paperwork on Monday !!As the car isn’t registered in our name the tax is not valid and my insurance may not be valid ??don’t know what to do Very bad service from the garage Rang Monday 30 th October told a senior manager will call me back after their meeting 9.30It’s 12.13 no call back, rang head office ,they will contact Peterborough garage , I have told them that as the car is nt registered in our name then the tax is not valid ??means insurance maybe not valid ?? Feeling bad that I shouldn’t be driving this car ??I am so angry and would not recommend this garage again , the Toyota car is excellent but the sales staff are totally useless , well the ones I have named . Monday 30 th evening 6 pm I received a call from the manager Dushi !! He then told me the paperwork had still not been done but will do it online now , he did and then I asked why this could have be done over 6 weeks ago , he couldn’t find a answer to that . He then sent me a email to confirm the change of ownership was done and then he told me that the deputy manger Kasim would call me Tuesday and then he would call me Wednesday to see my feelings on the service I have received, I did received the call from Kasim he called me Tuesday , but . Guess what ?? the manager Dushi didn’t ring me back as promised on Wednesday so anyone thinking of paying a visit to the Peterborough branch save yourself some time and look at someone else By the way I spoke to the dvla and they have told me that they can sort out the V 5 ( logbook )as the date for ownership should be 15th September the date I collected the car and not October 30 th and I need to return the logbook so they can change the date of ownership so the tax would be legal .Thankyou to them being so helpful By the way the Toyota Yaris Cross is a lovely car and so comfortable
