We have the Stoke Tripp Trapp high chair with the infant seat & straps (not the newer style), and we got the seat & back pads as well. 1st off I really like the chair, all the adjustments are great, it's very sturdy (even with severe rocking it only slides a small amount) , and the tray stayed clipped on no matter how much he played with it. I feel the pads are a good thought bit were dirty & in the wash more than on the chair. The clips on the straps are pretty hard to get open, especially with food on them. They did get easier with use. The clip-on feet to stabilize the chair are a good touch but had to be taken off to fit it in my car. After the feet came on & off several time they no longer want to stay on if the chair slides any...As for using it for several years, um no, maybe 2 at best. Once my son grew out of the harness straps & seat he would not stay in the chair and it became more of a problem than it was worth. Haven't used it since he turned about two. For that reason it doesn't feel worth the cost we put into it. Overall a great quality built chair.
