When I ordered the slate, it was so easy to do, the company kept me informed about delivery at all times. The slate looks absolutely amazing around my patio and also on some of the garden. I would definitely order from this company again, and tell my friends and family about the service.
Following lots of careful research including ordering a sample, we decided to order Kandla Grey Porcelain slabs. The reviews for Stones & Surfaces were very good, so we felt confident about what we were ordering.We were kept informed of the status of the delivery process, which all went to plan.During the laying of the slabs the builder brought to our attention that there was a colour mismatch. I immediately contacted your Helpdesk on the Saturday morning, who recorded details of the issue.I was contacted via text message on the Monday morning by Jordan requesting images highlighting the colour discrepancy, so he could look into the issue. I sent a number of pictures which clearly showed there was a mismatch in colours even though the pack of tiles (600 x 295) was labelled Kandla grey!Unfortunately I have not been contacted by anyone from Stone & Surfaces Direct, which is incredibly disappointing!I understand that things can sometimes go wrong, however it is how you deal with the problem that is most important in my opinion. The worst thing you can do is to ignore people, which is exactly how I feel! We are now left in limbo with an unfinished patio & no idea of when or if the replacements slabs will be sent!!This is a real shame as we were very happy about our experience up until the builder highlighted the colour issue!I am pleased to update my review to 4 stars following discussions with Jordan from the Sales Dept. Having shared my disappointment, Jordan stepped in and quickly offered to provide a complete new batch of slabs so we could get the job finished. The new batch was delivered in a timely manner and the replacement slabs were swapped over with the incorrect coloured slabs. The patio was finished and the unused slabs from the new batch were promptly collected by a courier.Thank you Jordan for your outstanding customer service and for dealing with everything just as you had advised.
