Had a smart meter installed in my flat last week 09/12/20. I noticed my storage heaters stopped working after this was installed. I reported this to Provider, a company commissioned by Scottish Power, to install the smart meter. They said l would have to get Scottish Power to send them a Workflow request, for Provider to come out to my flat again. When l rang Scottish Power, tgey said l have to call in my iwn electrician, at my own expence, to check the meter first before they will do anything about it. Frankly disgraceful and corrupt. Make sure you do not agree to changing your meter with anyone unless you have written assurance that any after faults will be rectified by them at their expence. A lot of vulnerable, elderly and sick people live in this building and buildings like it. How would they cope in this situation. Scottish Power should be renamed as they do not deserve to have the word Scottish in their title.
