Who are these clowns leafleting through my front door?They claim identity theft is possible if a smart meter is hacked. A smart meter collects energy usage and the time of day. It does not know or have access to personal information. They say energy bills rose 40% in the USA. They probably did but that’s got sod all to do with British Gas fitting a smart meter in my house. They say a smart meter is like having CCTV in your house and is a violation of the Data Protection Act. Really? At best I could look at the spike in energy use from a smart meter and maybe have a good guess that when it happened in the morning someone got out of bed. Whoever is behind this has a vast amount of money to waste printing leaflets that frankly have little basis of fact contained on them. Stop putting crap through my door!
