Placed an order on 5th January 2021 for a home printer & received an order confirmation immediately. As it was an urgent order, I followed up by email on 7th January requesting an estimated delivery window. No response to that email until 12th January. In the meantime I contacted them on their customer support number and spoke to a gentleman in the Netherlands who assured me that my printer was ready to ship but due to Brexit there was a hold up at the port which was resolved and the goods would be leaving for the UK the following day & my order would be received by no later than 13th January. Received an email today, 15th January, stating that my order had been cancelled! No explanation was given, just that it was cancelled and that I would be refunded. I phoned to find out what the issue is, only to be told that PayPal had reversed the payment due to non delivery. I then asked for the order to be reinstated & was told that there was no stock available, leading me to believe that this was the reason for cancellation in the first place. As this was an urgent order to enable me to work from home, I feel extremely annoyed with Canon's customer service or lack thereof! I had already purchased extra ink cartridges for this specific printer & am now in a position where I need to try to source another Canon printer that is compatible with the ink already purchased. Had I not already purchased the ink I would certainly not purchase a Canon printer again.
