I purchased a defective Chromecast and contacted Google for a warranty replacement, which I received at no charge. However, I was explicitly informed that I needed to return the defective unit or I would be charged the full price. I followed the instructions and sent the item back using the UPS shipping label provided by Google. According to the tracking information, the Google warehouse in Mississauga confirmed receipt of the item. Despite this, I was still charged because Google now claims they did not receive the return. I promptly emailed them the UPS proof of delivery, yet they continue to insist on their position and are directing me to resolve this with UPS. This situation feels unjust and unacceptable. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and I am awaiting their decision. I expect Google to honour their commitment and rectify this issue immediately.
