Absolutely nightmare experiences with this company. Do not use Stripe. After escalating account issues it has now been 18 days, with 7 attempts to contact their support with no response.
We opened a new stripe account, and unbeknownst to us, the account was flagged as suspicious before we accepted our first payment. A payment from our customer for ~$8000 USD was processed by stripe. After processing the payment, Stripe's algorithm determined that our business must be fraudulent and asked for verifying documents. After providing the requested documents, they LOCKED THE ACCOUNT.
It has been 40 days since the customer made the payment. The customer reached out to Stripe to confirm it was a legitimate payment. Stripe refuses to release the payment, they also refuse to refund the payment to the customer. This is 100% theft.
This is the only correspondence we could get, again they do not reply to emails, their AI bot only directs you to start a new email thread they will not respond to. "We recently communicated that your business presents a higher level of risk than we are able to support. Consequently, we have closed your account - you will no longer be able to process payments, and payouts to your bank account will remain paused."
Again, despite them erroneously flagging the new account as high risk/invalid, they refuse to refund the customer for the ONLY payment ever processed on the account.
Insane.
