Stripe may have had a strong reputation when it first started, but based on my experience, that standard has declined. They appear to work with questionable businesses and, in situations like mine, allow merchants to store payment details and process recurring charges without clear authorization.
This creates a frustrating experience for consumers, especially when unexpected renewals occur. I would strongly advise others to review payment terms carefully and be cautious when using services that process payments through Stripe.
