I had a very disappointing experience with StubHub as a ticket seller.
I listed tickets for an event and clearly provided the exact section, row, and seat numbers in the listing. The tickets were sold through the platform and all details matched the information that was delivered to the buyer.
However, after the event had already taken place, StubHub canceled the transaction claiming that the seats were not together because the buyer purchased multiple tickets and expected them to be adjacent.
This is extremely unfair to the seller. If there was any issue with the seating arrangement, it should have been identified before the sale was completed or at least before the event started. Canceling a transaction after the event has already happened gives the seller no opportunity to correct anything.
The listing accurately reflected the ticket details, yet StubHub still refused to release the payment.
This situation raises serious concerns about seller protection on the platform. Sellers should not be penalized after the event when the ticket information was listed correctly.
I hope StubHub reviews this case again and releases the payment for this completed sale.
