I bought one of the infamous 2002-2014 2.5l Stuparoos with the FAULTY HEAD GASKETS. They knew about the problem but did NOTHING to help customers who had to spend over $3000 to replace them or risk engine failure. All these years MUST have this done or the dealer will NOT accept it as a trade-in. I wrote letters and requested a $3000 credit on a NEW Stuparoo. NO DICE! I told them that other manufacturers offered AWD sedans and went with a Toyota. Very pleased! I've warned my friends and some didn't listen. Well, it seems the newer ones will leave you stranded (doors won't unlock and push button start won't work). Software glitches are draining the battery and Stooparoo has been unable solve the problem. "A lawsuit alleging that some Subaru vehicles have a design defect that causes the battery to drain. You can file a claim online or by mail at subarubatterysettlement.." Before you even think about a new Stooparoo, talk to owners of recent year's models. Most of them have horror stories!
