I have been a loyal customer of Sunnamusk for a long time and regularly purchase their perfume oils, including using one as my signature scent. I have also previously bought the smaller oil bottles as gifts.
On Friday 20th February 2026 at approximately 1:10pm (just after Jumu’ah), I visited the Whitechapel branch and politely asked a staff member when the smaller oil bottles had been discontinued.
Instead of receiving a simple explanation, the male staff member (approximately 40–45 years old) responded in a dismissive and confrontational manner. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and I was directly accused of providing false information.
As a long-standing customer, being accused of dishonesty in a retail environment was both surprising and humiliating. I am able to provide invoices for my previous purchases if required.
Despite this treatment, I chose not to argue and remained calm. I even proceeded to purchase an oil without further discussion. However, customers should not feel disrespected for asking a straightforward question.
I hope the company investigates this matter seriously and ensures higher standards of professionalism and customer service at this branch.
