Firstly, I am a network manager for a major bank, so I have some idea about storage.I invested in Synology to store and safeguard my home network photos and important family documents. I found the Synology operating system basically simply, and yet more surprisingly complicated for what I actually want to achieve, store my data. I have moved to a meshed home (Linksey) WiFi network, which uses 10/8 10.xxx.xxx.xxx. addresses, simple enough, and yet I have been unable to connect Synology, despite direct connection to the box. No effort on Synology's part to offer support (Google it), another example of an IT provider saving money on its front line... Choose another vendor/product for what is essentially an important and expensive outlay.
